Venus in Retrograde

Well, let me tell you, I have been fighting off the men with a pitchfork. I met one at a Starbucks after a Rent Party; another at the New Year's Eve party; a cutie I'd let slip away came onto me after the office party; and an old flame has been knocking at my door. It's all fine and dandy until Monday night comes around, and I've watched 2 episodes of Modern Family and 2 episodes of Law & Order: SVU, and ate way too many "quick carbs" and picked at my fingernails (which had been growing in so nicely.)

The truth is, Starbucks is still married. New Year's Eve is an unknown. The cutie suddenly starts ignoring me. And the old flame is nearly old enough to be my dad.

Why can't I find someone that has me in their subconscious mind?
Why can't I be a priority?
Why can't someone love me like I love them?
Why can't someone care that they hurt (crushed) my heart?
